공부를 하다보면 견처(見處)나 경계가 떠오를 때가 있습니다.
그럴 때 공부하는 이는
자신의 그러한 경계가
부처님 어느 가르침에 근거하는지 늘 살펴보아야 합니다.
그렇게 해야만 우리의 공부가 원만해지고
공부의 발전이 올 수 있습니다.
부처님 가르침에 근거되지 않은 공부는
지금 당장은 그럴 듯하더라도
허공에 그냥 떠 있는 상태가 되기 쉽습니다.
또 그냥 자신이 좋은 경계
다 안 것 같고 해탈한 것 같은 견처는
착각일 가능성이 농후합니다.
쉽지는 않지만 늘 자신의 공부를 되돌아 보고
행여나 견처가 생기더라도
반드시 부처님 가르침에서 근거를 찾아 볼 일입니다.
