어둠에서 어둠을 보지 말고,
절망에서 절망을 보지 말라
어떤 경우에도
100 % 암흑, 100% 절망은 없으니
실낱같은 빛, 티끌같은 희망일지라도
어둠에서 빛을, 절망에서 희망을 보라
찾지 않아서 그러하고 보지 않아서 그러하지
어떤 암흑 속에서도 빛은 존재하나니
그것을 못 보는 것은 나의 허물
눈을 더 크게 뜨고
안 되면 적외선(?) 안경이라도 빌려 쓰고
한사코 찾으면 반드시 빛은 나오는 법
그 한 줄기 빛을 보고
어둠을 이겨 나가라
아무리 사방이 사면초가이고
아무리 앞뒤 좌우 희망이라곤 없더라도
눈에 보이는 절망
귀에 느껴지는 어둠에 속지 말고
저 깊은 가슴에서 들려오는
내 자성의 희망의 소리를 듣고
그것을 믿어라
나는 할 수 있다
반드시 모든 것이 잘 될 것이다
그렇게 믿고
그렇게 격려하고
그렇게 밀고 나가라
그 믿음이
그 격려가
그 노력이
절망을 이기고 기적을 낳는 법
세상의 모든 빛은 암흑에서 나오고
세상의 모든 희망은 절망에서 나오나니
어둠이 짙을수록
절망이 깊을수록
밝음도 희망도 한결 더 가까이 와 있다는 증거
다만 성공과 실패는
이 사실을 알고 모르고
믿고 안 믿고에서 갈라지는 것
어리석은 이는 믿지 않고
지혜로운 이는 밝게 믿는다
어둠에서 어둠만 보는 이는
결코 어둠을 벗어날 수 없고
절망에서 절망만 보는 이는
결코 절망에서 벗어나지 못할지니
어떠한 일들이 너를 어지럽히더라도
속지말고 한결같이
희망을 향해 나아가라...
