우리 마음은 늘 밝은 곳으로 향해야 합니다. 어두운 생각, 어두운 마음은 짓지 않습니다. 늘 고맙고 늘 감사 가득하고, 늘 건강하고 늘 번창하는 곳으로 내 마음 향합니다.
아이를 생각할 때도 어두운 것은 전혀 마음에 그리지 않습니다. 아이들의 밝고 건강한 모습만 그립니다. 좋은 학교를 가고 좋은 배우자를 만나고 좋은 환경에 밝고 건강하게 살아가는 그 모습을 내 마음에 그립니다. 그 환한 모습에 환한 미소를 짓고 있는 우리를 봅니다.
사업을 할 때도 어두운 생각은 하지 않습니다. 사업이 번창하고 손님은 넘치며, 매출도 증가하여 나도 웃고 직원들도 웃고 내 물건 쓰시는 소비자들도 흐뭇하게 웃는 모습을 그립니다. 마음은 늘 성공으로 향하고 실패는 생각지 않습니다.
밝은 마음은 밝은 현실을 만듭니다.
마음이 밝으면 현실도 밝게 만듭니다. 밝은 마음은 밝은 현실을 오게 합니다.
마음이 밝으면 밝은 현실이 오는 것입니다. 그러므로 현실이 비록 내 마음 같지 않더라도 우리는 밝은 곳을 향한 마음을 잃으면 안됩니다. 일이 어렵고 현실이 암담하면 암담할수록 우리는 더욱 더 내 마음을 밝은 곳으로 향해야 하는 것입니다.

아침에 일어나 어슴푸레한 여명 아래 마음을 밝은 쪽으로 향해 보시지요. 밝아 오는 새벽을 향해 앉아 내 마음에 밝은 모습 가득 그려 보십시오. 오늘도 밝고 건강하게 자라는 아이들 모습, 건강한 가족들 모습, 하루를 알차고 보람있게 보내는 내 모습, 모든 이들이 행복하고 온 누리에 가득 가득 넘치는 이 생명의 기운을 마음에 한 아름 담아 보시지요.
단 5 분이라도 좋으니 그렇게 오늘 하루도 성공을 그리며 아이들의 밝은 모습을 그리며 하루를 맞이해 보십시오.
그리고 그 마음을 일터에도 이어 가는 것입니다.
직장에서 일을 할 때도 사람을 만날 때도 늘 마음을 밝은 그 곳으로 향하는 것입니다. 웃고 떠들고 일할 때에도, 몸은 바삐 움직이지만은 마음은 늘 아침에 내가 향했던 밝은 그 곳을 떠나지 않는 것입니다.
내 마음에 가득한 밝은 기운, 그리고 늘 밝은 곳으로 향하는 내 마음-이것이 나를 밝히고 내 주위를 밝히며 온 누리에 기쁨과 환희 가득하게 밝히게 되는 원동력입니다.
